Delete Your Account

From inside the app

Open the Decibell iOS app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, and confirm. Deletion takes effect immediately. Your virtual phone numbers are released back to the provider pool and your conversation history is removed.

By email

If you can't access the app, email us at [email protected] from the email address associated with your account. Include the phone number and country of any active virtual lines so we can identify your account. We'll confirm deletion within 7 business days.

What gets deleted

• Your account profile and authentication data
• Your saved contacts inside the app
• Your conversation history (SMS, MMS, call records)
• Your virtual phone numbers — released back to the provider pool
• Your push notification tokens

What may remain

Backup snapshots that include your data are purged on a rolling basis (within 30 days). Some communications metadata may be retained by our telecom partners to satisfy their own legal and regulatory obligations — those retention periods are governed by each provider's policy. Subscription receipts and minimal billing records are retained for accounting and tax purposes as required by law.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. To stop renewals, also cancel the subscription from your App Store account settings.
